General information about the club

Members

We welcome anyone with an interest in gardens and gardening - we are a friendly bunch and meetings end with coffee & a chat. We organise visits to places of gardening interest.and hold informal social events too. Please check out our programme, to see the variety in our speakers, and our newsletters.

The membership fee for the 2016 – 2017 programme is £18. Members joining from September onwards will pay a fee of £10 for the remainder of the programme year.

Non-members are welcome to attend individual meetings that interest them for a fee of £3.50 per meeting. This charge also applies to club visits in addition to the individual visit charges specified.


Membership benefits

Membership of the club may entitle you to discounts at local garden centres. Please enquire.

Club Committee

The club year operates from April. The new committee for the year will be elected at the AGM.

Chairman and Vice Chairman serve for one year but may be re-elected. The Secretary,  Programme Secretary and Treasurer serve for two years but may also be re-elected.

Any club member interested in becoming a member of the committee should approach the Chairman in the first instance.
